A wee experiment o' mine - I took this sheet from the Preston Blair book and tried to apply it to that Pinfeathers guy. Turns out he's just Jerry with a beak!

Donald Bastard Layout

More of my efforts to learn the art of layouts - this time starring that well 'ard mallard, Donald Bastard.


1. Hmm, I don't think I got the negative space quite right on this one.


2. I had to redraw Ernie's left foot to keep it from shifting, which I hope didn't screw up his pose too badly.


3. This drawing has the most changes from the original - I drew Ernie lower than John K had drawn him, which meant I then had to adjust Donald's pose.

I've not seen this cartoon, but I like the drawings!

Out-Foxed

One of my favourite Tex Avery takes, from towards the end of 'Out-Foxed'. This well-bred fox has been very calm up until now, when he goes crazy at the mention of 'steak'. The whole thing consists of only three drawings and is over in an instant - the fox reverts back to his dignified self as quickly as he came out of it.
